The Pineville Fire Department, established in 1955, has been a cornerstone of public safety in Pineville, North Carolina. Situated at 108 Church Street, the department has evolved from its volunteer origins to a combination of volunteer and paid staff, reflecting the town's growth and the increasing complexity of emergency services.

In its early years, the department operated from a modest facility at the corner of Church and College Streets. Over time, the department expanded its capabilities, incorporating modern equipment and apparatus to better serve the community. Notably, the department has acquired advanced vehicles, such as the Pierce Pumper and Aerial trucks, enhancing its firefighting and rescue operations.

Today, under the leadership of Fire Chief Michael Gerin, the Pineville Fire Department continues its commitment to excellence. The department offers a range of services, including fire suppression, emergency medical response, and fire prevention education. Additionally, it has embraced technological advancements by implementing programs like Community Connect, which allows residents to share critical information to aid emergency responders.

As Pineville continues to grow, the Fire Department remains dedicated to adapting and expanding its services to meet the needs of the community, upholding a legacy of service that spans over six decades.
